Three months in the making.........

I havent been able to find the time to update the family on the going on's at Lake Mountain. Could it be the holidays..holiday travels? Traveling a few times for work or...the flu....the FLU..on boy that hit us all like a ton of bricks. It was horrible, even the little ones got it. Breaks your heart and makes you feel so helpless.

Thanksgiving Deans family came in town. Al and Mary from Michigan, Blaine and Cristin from Montana and Jami from Carson City. I cannot even express how much fun we had. I do admit feeling stressed, cleaning from top to bottom and worried about every little thing. This was the first time they had been to our home so naturally I wanted to make them all comfortable! We had the best time ever! What an amazing family.....amazing! I look forward to our next adventure together.

We played at the park a few times. We had 5 little ones running through the house that needed to get their wiggle bugs out. Loved the smiles coming from the kids, they were so much fun to watch.

                 Emmie, Kaylee, Bella and Blaine

Blaine with little Kroy. What a character he is, so much fun!

We were so blessed to have Houstin come for Thanksgiving, It was the best surprise anyone could have ever ask for. He and the boys were joined at the hip! Graduated from high school early and already attending college. Way to go H...Mucho Mucho love for you! (Hitting the slopes this weekend....come home and play!!!)

We took a little adventure to the Zoo. Great time with the kids and the family....Starbucks was a must given the cold! Mary Kay, Me, Jami (dont know who the orb is...but...its someone chillin with the family at the zoo)

Blaine and Cristin's little ones with Nana and Papa at the Zoo. Al, Bella, Nana, Kroy and Emmie. Love these kids, they are such a joy to be around!

My little Pumpkin Pie...I just love this little girl!

Little Man...found a bug at the park.

Were in the world are the teenagers??? I dont have one picture of them over Thanksgiving...they took off and went snowboarding with H....girlfriends....friends...we arent cool to hang out with anymore.

Christmas, we decided to do something different this year and we took a vacation. We spent a few days including Christmas in Big Sky Montana....all I can say is WOW.....I would do this again in a heart beat and a firm believer in Christmas vacations. The hype and stress of Christmas is gone.....its all about spending time with your family and simply an amazing experience......we found Christmas on the slopes.

Morgan and I on the lifts

Caleb and I on the lifts

Every night and every morning we got to enjoy having a meal with the boys. It was so hard some mornings to get them to come to Bfast. The dinning room was right at the base of the slopes and they were dying to get first run. BUT....we made them experience meals with us including their first time at Fondue...totally worth it.

Dinner with Dean and the boys

So awesome...I love my kids...they are amazing people and I love being around them.

The gang! We were so worn out!

The top peak is Loan Peak. Dean hyped the boys out on riding down this peak for months. I have to be honest that I was scared to death!!! I think the boys were secretly shaking as well. I rode the tram up with them and thought for sure I was going to die coming down. Dean took the boys down the south side of the slopes and they had so much fun. I cant say that I had a good time going down from the tram alone....I suck!!! Green Runs all the way baby!!!

Loan Peak...the highest peak with the snow blowing off it...yeah....my kids went down that peak...whoa!

Another view of Loan Peak in the clouds

One of the many lifts!

Dean in his very coveted Green Suit....the boys call him "Green Dean"

Me.....The only time I fell down is when Dean ran into me...we have it on video...it was mean!!

I cant say enough wonderful things about the past few months. We were able to spend a few days with Blaine and Cristin with Al and Mary in Helena over Xmas and loved it. We have had so much fun!. Looking forward to a this coming weekend on the slopes. I admit....I am done with the cold and snow but making the best of it. The beach is calling Brenda...its only a matter of time until I listen to the waves, sun hitting my face and drink in hand. Mark my words!!!!

Cheers! Brenda and Dean

PS......FYI....and By The Way......had to throw this in...Caleb playing in the snow with the Elwells on the annual Snow day...he was in heaven!!!
