Morgonzo turns 17 & A Jolly Holiday with Mary & The best surprise ever!

Deans mother Mary Kay came last Tuesday and spent the week with us. We had so much fun, it was never ending with so many wonderful adventures!! Getting to know Mary was simply amazing. I knew we were going to get along just fine when she saw me drinking a beer and said "where is mine!". At that point........it was mandatory I had to introduce her to the beer fridge! Yes It was a jolly holiday with Mary, and we were jolly.

We celebrated Morgans 17th Bday.....whoa.....I have a 17 year old...whoa. He spent the day at Seven Peaks with Caleb and his friend Rebecca. I was working, transporting teenagers and pretending I was Superwomen!!! Emphasis on the pretending. I realized half way through the day It wasnt happening. I ordered dinner and picked up a cake from Costco rather than making the three layer Stout Cake I had my heart set on.

Morgan did allow us to torture him and sing Happy Birthday as loud and obnoxious as we could. Thanks Mo!

Costco to the rescue! Delish!!!!

The little ones had the pleasure of introducing their Nana to a day at the Zoo. It really is a great experience however...exhausting...Mary made it through the day without a fight (maybe).

I wont say......but it is possible this is the place an altercation with a fellow Zooer and Mary could or couldnt have happened....Regardless she elbowed her way through to spoil Ryker and Kaylee.

By far one of the children's favorite places at the Zoo....the Polar Bear!!! We heart him.

Another favorite....the Seals. There is nothing better than a visit to the Zoo through the eyes of a child. Simple........and amazing.

Saturday we all went boating . You cant top a warm day, the water, bloody Mary's with Mary, time with my family........or wait....can you?

I pulled the boat up to the dock, tied up and look who we found.....or rather who found us. I couldnt believe my eyes, how could a perfect day become even more perfect???? Add Houstin. I am blessed and someone is making sure of it.

It was so fun having him and Dominic on the boat for the day.

They rode the tube, Wakeboard and knee board. Houstin hasnt done it in years but of course, he popped right out of the water.

Even though the kids are in swimming lessons they still have to a fear of the water. Ryker was hesitant but grinning from ear to ear once he got on with his Daddy (okay so we forced him and was crying until the boat got going...then the smiles came).

Mom came with Piper and Roxy. They loved the boat along with Ranger Dog.

Totally in my element. I just love boating!

We had an incredible time together. Mary you will be proud to hear, I cleaned out three drawers in the kitchen and Dean has finally agreed to a housekeeper if she is French and wears a uniform....Eh?

We leave for Bear Lake in a few weeks with the kids and so very excited. Wish you were coming sister.

Peace......Love.....Cheers.....Bren

Savoring the sunshine

Fourth of July we hit the lake for the first time this season. By the time we got the boat on the water after dealing with all the lovely set backs a boat typically has to offer I was exhausted!!! Only to be renewed by seeing the smile on Deans face.......listening to the boys wild laughter as they rode the tube, the refreshing water, the comforting pleasure of time with friends and the hot sun toasting my skin...ahhhh....yeah! Divine! Its okay that Dean didnt get in the water  and Morgan found himself in the fetal position at the front of the boat sea sick....its all good.

I see happiness!

Sherry, Brit, Bailey and Aspen, we love spending time with the Percell's

Dean and I took off a few weekends ago, I find we are taking off as much as we can lately. Work for me has been very overwhelming and it doesnt help that my office is at home! I cant get mad and stomp off to make a point to the boss. Not that I would do that anyway but it sounds cool. Getting away as often as possible really helps my sanity.

We ran off....like a couple with no responsibility.....in a general direction with a deck of cards and a cooler full of booze! Oh...and our dog.

Ranger Danger

We took off to the Uintas and drove back into the middle of no where...Lilly Lake. Ranger was loving playing fetch (or fatch as Ryker would say).

Loved spending time with Dean in the woods. We have a great time especially when we dont have to worry about kids. Sometimes it feels like we have a zillion of them!

We left the city to get out of the smoke from all the fires only to find out, there was a fire south of us. We werent allowed a camp fire and there was nasty smoke in the air but it was still gorgeous. We camped right on the edge of a meadow.

We were blessed to spend time with my nephews Brogan and Brig....Oh so much fun!! Ryker and Brogan entertained each other while Kayleann and I played mom to Brig. I have to say....it was pretty dang cute to watch Dean with a baby....

We did a very daring thing and took them ALL to the zoo. Brogan, Kaylee and Ryker hitched a ride in the wagon while Brig was in the baby pack on my back...oh lord that is hard regardless of their weight! It was perfect! We made it to have lunch in front of the seal, walked around for about 10 minutes, bought them a prize and left. The timing was impeccable! As we were walking up the hill (that felt like a mountain) the tears started.......by the time we hit the freeway half the passengers in the truck were crashed out. Good day!

Kaylee in front of the Seal exhibit

Ryker giggled every time the Seal went past

Brogan sat patiently waiting for another swim by.

Brig chillin in the baby pack with sweet potato's all over his face. Adorable!!!!!

I wish I had pictures of Morgan and Caleb to share but of course they have been a little scarce lately with it being summer. Morgan is almost done with drivers ed and we are currently shopping for a car. Caleb has been working like a dog every day with his buddies for a landscaping company. He is so fit and tan! Its going to be a very busy week! The little ones start swimming lessons tomorrow, Mary Kay will be here on Wednesday and Morgan will be 17 on Thursday! Mom is in Colorado until Saturday having a blast with the fam.

As always.....every day is an adventure here at Lake Mountain!

Peace......Love....Cheers....Bren
