Change is Inevitable, Embrace it

There is one thing I always tell my kids "Change is inevitable, embrace it". Changes can be hard but if you listen, you will learn what the change has to teach you. On the flip side of that, if you don't listen you will have to repeat until you learn the lesson.

Big change for us this year, we moved from our incredible, gorgeous, spacious house in Saratoga Springs into the city. We went from daily views to die for, plenty of room to move around in 4300 sq ft and being surrounded by loved friends. We are now in 2800 sq ft , middle of the city, view of a school yard and at what I hope is the tail end of a remodel. When we moved into the house on August 9th, the master bathroom was in a pile of rubbish in the middle of the front room floor which eventually made its way to the front lawn. I cried, lots of times....then I cried some more. Nothing seems to work right or come together in a timely manner. Remodel shouldn't be this hard. Here is my lesson......I can live with less, I don't need things to make me happy and living in close quarters is bringing us closer together. We no longer retire to our corner of the house, every corner is everyone's corner of the house. I am even starting to get used to no doors on the rooms (they are in the garage!). Its a challenge but I know its a springboard to our future plans of living in Huntsville full time. Oh, and I miss knowing my mom is downstairs tucked away in her apartment. Miss her daily.  So Draper is our new adventure!

We have been so blessed to have great adventures this summer even though the move has really taken it out of us.

Uinta Backpacking trip with the Trolls

Many Great Sundays at Snowbasin Resort!

Have to throw this one in there. This is my fabulous nephew Kayl who we love and adore. He hasnt been able to be around much but when he can......it feels like my family is complete.

Basement finally ready for Carpet

One of the happiest days of my life, watching the dumpster finally drive away!

This is how our children were watching TV. Still makes me giggle

The disaster in the front room on move in day. Whoa

The rubbish made its way to the front yard. We made a good first impression on the neighbors!

Summer fun with the Percells!

Never ending yard work in Huntsville. We actually love it.

Notice my sweet Ranger Danger in the background. He is very much missed, we lost him before the Draper move. He is forever in our hearts.

Breakfast in Huntsville with the Trolls. They like cooking with us.

 Rodeo Fun!

Our little Miss is in Third Grade this year. Man, she is beautiful! She still knows she melts our hearts.

Monster is in Kindergarten this year! He is adjusting however its a challenge when you dont like being told what to do. Love this little man!

Caleb is a Jr and killing it in school! AP classes already. So proud of him. Morgan is living with friends and working as a painter. I miss him every day but know he is on his own life journey. Blessed to be their mom. Oh so blessed.

Looking forward to the Holidays full of food, family and making new memories!

Peace....Love and Light.....Cheers.....
